Expectations/Classroom Rules:

 

  1. Responsible-Wake up early, be on time to class, and eat breakfast; Be in the assigned seat and ready by the time the bell rings, complete and turn in assignments, homework, and projects on time. Develop good study habits. Communicate important information to your parents from me and our school.

  2. Prepared-Have all necessary materials (pen/pencil, journal, chromebook) in your backpack and make sure the chromebook is charged. Be ready to listen to directions and start the problem of the day as soon as the bell rings.

  3. Manners-Respect the teacher, other students, and yourself; Respect district property and facilities as well; Do not talk when teacher/other student is talking, raise your hand if you would like to speak, dress appropriately, no foul language, keep all personal electronics PUT AWAY and OUT OF SIGHT.(If you get caught using your cell phone it will be confiscated and you will get your phone back the next day after paying the $15 fee)

  4. Safety- Follow all campus and district rules, have a positive attitude, and no name calling or “jokes” that may hurt someone's feelings.  Horse playing or Bullying will not be tolerated and consequences will be given to those that break the rules.

As per UISD Policy:

  • Progress reports will go out every third week and report cards every six weeks.

  • You are required to have 12 assignment grades and 4 test grades 

every six weeks.

 

Make-Up Work: 

Excused Absence-Students will be allowed to make up work missed due to any excused absence. The time allotted will be equal to one day per each day of absence. For example, a student absent for five (5) days will be allotted 5 days to complete the missed assignment. It is the student’s responsibility to inquire about work missed during the absence. 

Unexcused Absence-Make-up work/tests after an unexcused absence shall receive a maximum grade of 70. The time allotted will be equal to one day per each day of absence.

Homework Policy: Designated days for science homework will be Monday. Parents, I am asking that you help encourage your child to set aside time every Monday to work on their assigned homework.

 

Absences: It is your responsibility to ask for any work missed if you are absent.  For every day that you are absent, you are given those many days to make up the assignments.  If your absence is excused you can earn full credit for that assignment & if it is unexcused you can only earn up to 70% credit. 

 

Tutorials: Monday 3:30-4:30 (start date pending)

Power Hour Bell Schedule will be followed once a week.

DEAR TIME & Writing Time in the mornings during 1st block during designated days.
