Message from Principal

Dear Parents,

The last two years under Covid-19 School Closures were challenging for all our staff, students, and families.   What we learned through this process is how much we appreciate the expertise our teachers bring to RPMS and the ways in which our students and parents continued to work hard.  What makes RPMS a great school community is how even under the most challenging circumstances we are still learning and caring community that does not give up.  We are “Oiler Strong”.

Normal is such a simple word and it is our goal at RPMS to discover our “new normal” this new school year.  We continue to maintain the highest standards across the school organization and we continue to provide opportunities for our students to feel challenged on a daily basis with high-quality instruction.  We will continue to offer a variety of options for our Oiler students and parents to feel connected to the school community.

As we plan for a beginning like no other at Raul Perales Middle School our focus will continue to be that all our students, faculty, and staff feel connected, challenged, and safe every day. RPMS will continue to follow Covid-19 safety protocols as mandated by the state and our local education agency. Please visit UISD website for more information on the new Covid-19 school safety protocols.

We have attached our new Bell Schedule and School Calendar for you to review with your child.  Please note UISD school messenger will send emails and phone calls to the address and phone numbers you listed on the UISD parent portal during your child’s school registration process.  Should you have a new phone number, email address, or home address please contact our school registrar to make the new changes.  It is important that our parents receive our school messages and emails throughout the school year.

Meet the Teacher Night is Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Please join us on this important first parent event on campus. We look forward to meeting you.  Please do not hesitate to call us should you have any questions.
